Our Story

EnvLab (UAB Tyrimų Laboratorija) was founded in Kretinga, Lithuania, in 2016 as a physical testing laboratory focused on building performance and technical measurements.

Our work in acoustics has grown considerably since then. Today, our specialists provide building acoustic measurements, environmental and industrial noise measurements, noise modelling and noise-source investigations using acoustic camera technology.

The laboratory has also expanded into other areas of physical testing, including geological and construction-related services. Our team of 19 specialists brings expertise across several technical disciplines while maintaining a strong focus on accurate measurement and professional reporting.

In 2026, we expanded our acoustic and noise measurement services to Latvia. Latvian projects are coordinated by our Lithuanian team, with specialists travelling to sites throughout Latvia for on-site measurements and investigations.

Our Approach

Accredited Measurement

Our laboratory's accredited scope covers relevant building acoustic, environmental noise and engineering-system noise measurements, carried out using calibrated equipment and established technical methods.

Technical Expertise

Our specialists work across building acoustics, environmental noise, industrial noise, noise modelling and acoustic source investigation, allowing us to approach projects from several technical perspectives.

Practical Interpretation

We don't simply provide measurement results. Where an acoustic issue is identified, we explain what the results mean and, where appropriate, recommend practical next steps.

Advanced Investigation

We use wide-spectrum acoustic camera technology to investigate and visualise individual noise sources in situations where conventional measurements alone may not identify the source.

Direct Communication

Our clients communicate directly with the specialists responsible for their project, from defining the measurement scope through to the final report.

Accreditation & Quality

Our laboratory operates according to established quality procedures and maintains accreditation for relevant testing activities under ISO/IEC 17025.

Our technical competence is supported by appropriate calibration, quality-control procedures and participation in relevant proficiency and interlaboratory testing activities.

Our Leadership

Director & Co-founder

Vytautas Lapinskas

Vytautas Lapinskas leads EnvLab (UAB Tyrimų Laboratorija) and oversees the company's development — from a specialist physical testing laboratory into a multidisciplinary technical practice covering acoustics, air-tightness testing, various building-related tests, and geology.

Under his leadership, the company has expanded its specialist team and technical capabilities, while continuing to develop its geology, acoustics, and noise assessment services, as well as other testing areas. Vytautas Lapinskas spent many years working as laboratory manager and quality manager.

Co-founder

Vytautas Kryževičius

Vytautas Kryževičius is one of the founders of EnvLab (UAB Tyrimų Laboratorija) and has been involved in the company's operations since its earliest years — contributing to the growth of its technical capabilities, client development, and specialist services. He currently serves as project manager, leads the drilling field work teams, and contributes to the company's strategic development.

We currently do not have a physical office in Latvia. Latvian projects are coordinated by our Lithuanian team, with specialists travelling to client sites throughout the country.

This allows us to provide the same measurement procedures, equipment and technical expertise used across our Lithuanian operations while serving Latvian projects directly on site.

From Lithuania to Latvia

For more than a decade, our work has been focused on technical measurement and assessment in Lithuania.

Our expansion into Latvia is a natural extension of that experience.

We now provide building acoustic measurements, noise measurements, acoustic camera investigations and noise modelling throughout Latvia, with projects coordinated by our experienced Lithuanian team.
