When is noise modelling required?
Noise modelling is typically required when a proposed development could increase noise levels in surrounding areas — for example, a new industrial facility, a logistics centre, a wind farm, or a road or railway project. The modelling predicts how noise will propagate from the source across the surrounding environment, allowing the impact on nearby residential areas to be assessed before construction begins.
What data do we need?
- Site plans or topographic data
- Information about the noise sources and their operating conditions
- Surrounding buildings, terrain and screening structures
- Where available, existing noise measurements at the site

Noise modelling starts from €480 + VAT per project. The final price depends on the complexity of the site, number of noise sources and the size of the assessment area.
