What actually happens during a noise measurement visit?

Demystifies the process and pricing, useful for anyone requesting a quote for the first time.

If you've never commissioned a noise measurement before, the process can seem opaque. Here is what typically happens from the moment you get in touch to the day you receive your report.

Before the visit

You tell us about the noise source, the location, and the purpose of the measurement — for example, a noise complaint, a planning requirement, or a compliance check. We then define the measurement scope: where to measure, when, for how long, and which standards apply. You receive a confirmed scope and price before any work begins.

During the visit

Our specialists arrive with calibrated acoustic measurement equipment and carry out the required tests under appropriate conditions. Depending on the project, this may involve measuring at one or several points, over a short period or a longer monitoring window. The on-site time depends on the number and type of measurements needed.

After the visit

We analyse the results against the applicable standards and noise limits, then prepare a measurement protocol. You receive the professionally documented report by email, signed with a qualified electronic signature. Most projects are completed within 5–14 business days.

Prices for standard noise measurements start from €100 + VAT per measurement point. Larger investigations are quoted individually based on scope.
